Armory
The City of New Castle has recently renovated the old National Guard Armory located at 1537 Grand Ave. The New Castle Armory is now being utilized as a community center to host community events, wedding receptions, concerts, luncheons, meetings, etc. The New Castle Armory's occupancy capacity is 500 and features an open gym concept, kitchen, men and women's restrooms, and a basement created for sports teams to practice.
The Armory is also being rented by local sports teams to hold their practices. We currently have batting cages in the basement that local baseball and softball teams are renting. We have recently added new gym flooring on the main level and offer basketball and volleyball practice.
