BOARD OF WORKS

January 22, 2013 at 10:00 a.m.

                The meeting was called to order by Mayor Greg York.

CITIZENS APPEARING:

·         Tammy Wagnor with Special Olypics appears before the board to request use of Baker Park on April 6, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for a 5K run.  After discussion Ms. Wagnor was asked to submit a map and consider 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. due to a conflict.  Attorney Copenhaver approved subject to submission of information and approval of Park Board.  Director Barker seconded.  Motion carried 3-0 

ORDER OF BUSINESS:

·         Director Barker moved to approve minutes from the previous meeting.  Attorney Copenhaver seconded.  Motion carried 3-0

·         Mayor York requested a motion to accept the Payroll, Water, Wastewater and General fund claims for the week of January 14, 2013 to January 22, 2013.   Director Barker moved to accept.  Attorney Copenhaver seconded.  Motion carried 3-0

·         Mayor York presented the tabled bid of 301 North 17^th Street.  Attorney Copenhaver submitted Resolution #BOW-01222013 and moved to approve of acceptance of the bid based on Resolution presented.  Director Barker seconded.  Motion carried 3-0.

·         Attorney Copenhaver expressed his appreciation and thanks to all city administration and employees for their personal outpour of his recent loss with phone calls, flowers and cards.

·         Chief Boatright presented a policy change to the board for review and approval.  Attorney Copenhaver moved to approve the Fire policy change as presented.  Director Barker seconded.  Motion carried 3-0
