New Castle - Henry County Humane Society Renovations Completed
Renovated shelter unveiled
Reconstruction of the building includes a new arched entryway, larger lobby, new cattery addition, waiting area and storage space. Longtime volunteer at the shelter, Pat Burton, was honored to cut the ribbon at the ribbon-cutting ceremony. A plaque honors Mary Polk who bequeathed $700,000 to the shelter and made the renovation possible.
