The City of New Castle, Indiana

In response to recent negative publicity regarding a private individual residing in Henry County being billed for services pertaining to fighting a home fire, we wish to affirm to city residents that the City of New Castle does not bill individuals for firefighter services or other emergency services.  As City personnel have been the target of several negative items of correspondence as a direct result of this negative publicity we felt this affirmation necessary.  Any questions regarding this situation may be directed to the Fire Chief, EMS Chief or the Mayor's Office.
