Miles of road to plow: 802 miles
Number of truck available: 20
Amount of salt ordered this year: 1,200 tons of salt, to be mixed with 3,600 tons of sand for a 3:1 ratio.
Number of Employees: 25
Shifts worked: 8 hours normally, but 12-14 hours over the last couple of days.
Highway Department Administrator Joe Wiley: “We’ve been able to plow everything. We don’t have any significant drifting. We will continue to plow again. The blowing and drifting is causing the rural roads to present a problem. We’ve been trying to get through them as fast as we can with poor visibility.”
