Board of Works Meeting Minutes - 5/13/2013
BOARD OF WORKS
May 13, 2013 at 10:00 a.m.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor York
CITIZENS APPEARING:
· Winny Logan representing the New Castle/Henry County Public Library requested street closures on June 1, 2013 from 8-noon on Race Street from Main Street to 12th Street for the Summer Reading Program. Mayor York moved to approve the requested. Director Barker seconded. Motion carried 2-0
· Ron Burns representing New Castle Babe Ruth requested approval for the annual Babe Ruth canvasing on May 17 and 18th from 9-4. Mayor York moved to approve the request. Director Barker seconded. Motion carried 2-0
ORDER OF BUSINESS:
· Director Barker moved to approve the minutes of the last meeting. Mayor York seconded. Motion carried 2-0
· Director Barker made a motion to accept the Payroll, Water, Wastewater and General fund claims for the week of May 6, to May 13, 2013. Mayor York seconded. Motion carried 2-0
· Director Barker moved to award the quote on the EMS roof to Neal's Guttering Service. Mayor York seconded. Motion carried 2-0
DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS:
· Director Barker informed the board that the Memorial Day Parade route will not be changing, just extended to Parkview Drive down Bundy Avenue.
