COUNCIL ELECTION:
· Mayor York requested nominations for Council President and Vice President.
o Councilman Kidd nominated Mark Koger as President. Council-lady Bertram seconded. Council Peckinpaugh moved nominations be closed, Councilman Ingerman seconded. Motion carried 7-0.
o Councilman Kidd nominated Sandy Bertram as Vice-President. Councilman Ingerman seconded. Councilman Peckinpaugh moved nominations be closed, Councilman Ingerman seconded. Motion carried 7-0
SPECIAL BUSINESS:
· Mayor York announced the following staff changes;

o Jean Ann Hill's retirement.
o Kendra Kennedy has been hired to replace Jean Ann as Mayor's Assistant.
· Council-lady Bertram moved to suspend the rules and accept the minutes of the last meeting. Councilman Reid seconded. Motion carried 7-0

COMMITTEE REPORTS:
· Council-lady Bertram requested Traffic Committee review the stop intersection on
· Councilman Ingerman requested Traffic Committee review and consider removal of the stop lights at the intersections of
· Council-lady Malone commended administration of the great job of snow removal.
· Councilman Reid noted that trash and snow removal during holidays and big snows needed improvement, that pre-treatment of the roads was not noted and he felt was an important step and be reconsidered. He requested that administration review and reconsider the 3 day trash pickup.
· Councilman Peckinpaugh noted he received no complaints in his Ward on trash pick up or snow removal and also commended the efforts.
ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS:
· Clerk-Treasurer York announced that effective February 1, 2013 Citizens State Bank would no longer be processing payments for the Utility Office and there would be new drive up hours that would also go into effect. Monday-Tuesday-Thursday-Friday the hours would be 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Wednesdays from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
· Mayor York noted at this same time City Hall Offices would no longer close during lunch.
CITIZENS REQUESTS:
· Cathy Hamilton representing Hope Initiative noted the last public forum was Saturday.
