New Castle Armory Information
The City of New Castle has recently renovated the old National Guard Armory located at 1537 Grand Ave. The New Castle Armory is now being utilized as a community center to host community events, wedding receptions, concerts, luncheons, meetings, etc. The New Castle Armory's occupancy capacity is 500 and features an open gym concept, kitchen, men and women's restrooms, and a basement created for sports teams to practice.
The Armory is also being rented by local sports teams to hold their practices. We currently have batting cages in the basement that local baseball and softball teams are renting. We are in the process of having the gym floor replaced and adding new basketball goals, basketball practice will be offered once that is completed.
