Storm sewer construction is nearing completion in part of downtown New Castle, according to Dave Barker, director of public works. The current phase of the project is separating storm water and sanitary sewers in the downtown area from Broad Street north to Woodward Avenue and from Main Street east to 15th Street. The closeup of one of the new storm sewer grates shows a fish and warnings "DUMP NO WASTE" because it "DRAINS TO WATERWAYS."
