City Council Meeting Minutes - 3/4/2013

                                                       

                                                 COMMON COUNCIL 

 

March 4, 2013 at 7:00 p.m.            

The Pledge of Allegiance was given by everyone in attendance.             

Prayer was given by Councilman Peckinpaugh

 ORDER OF BUSINESS:

 

·        President Koger moved to approve the minutes of the last meeting with the amendment that they were corrected showing him present.  Councilman Reid seconded.  Motion carried 7-0

 

PROCLAMATIONS:

 

·        No proclamations were presented.

 

RESOLUTIONS:

 

·        No resolutions were presented.

 

ORDINANCES:

 

·        Ordinance #3672 - Authorizing lien, filing and release fees

President Koger moved to approve Ordinance #3672 on second reading.  Council-lady Bertram seconded.  Motion carried 7-0

·        Ordinance #3673 - Amending Ordinace #3651 Job Title Change

President Koger read Ordinance #3673 amending Ordinance #3651 and moved to approve on first reading.  Councilman Peckinpaugh seconded.  Motion carried 7-0

·        Ordinance #3674 - Amending Ordinance #3650 Job Title Change

President Koger read Ordinance #3674 amending Ordinance #3650 and moved to approve on first reading.  Explanation was requested and given by Clerk Treasurer York.  Council-lady Bertram seconded.  Motion carried 7-0

 

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

 

·        Councilman Ingerman requested explanation as to why Transportation Department would be closed Thursday.  Director Sloan informed council that all employees of that department were scheduled for DMV physicals by federal law and the State was performing them on Thursday.

·        Council-lady Malone informed the council she would possibly be absent the next 2 meetings due to surgery.

·        Councilman Reid informed administration of potholes on Washington Street and requested an update on the Stellar Grant process.  Mayor York referred potholes to Assistant Commissioner Allen.  Mayor York updated council on the Stellar Grant.

 

 

 

ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS:

 

·        Mayor York informed council of the planned City Easter Egg Hunt.

CITIZENS APPEARING BEFORE THE BOARD:

·       No citizens appeared before council.

DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS:

 

·        No reports were presented

Councilman Peckinpaugh moved for adjournment.  Council-lady Bertram seconded.    Meeting adjourned.
