COMMON COUNCIL 

December 17, 2012 at 7:00 p.m.

·        Council-lady Bertram moved to suspend and accept the minutes of the last meeting.  Councilman Peckinpaugh seconded.  Motion carried 7-0

·        Resolution #12172012-1 Amending RDC/Planning Commission Declaratory

President Koger read Resolution #12172012-1 and moved to approve.  Council-lady Bertram seconded.  Motion carried 7-0

President Koger moved to approve Ordinance #3658 on second reading.  Councilman Peckinpaugh seconded.  Motion carried 7-0

President Koger read Ordinance #3669.  After discussion Councilman Reid moved to table for further review. President Koger seconded.  Motion carried 7-0

President Koger read Ordinance #3670 and moved to approve on first reading.  Councilman Reid seconded.  Motion carried 7-0

·        Ordinance #3671 - No Parking Zone - North 14th Street - 1st reading

President Koger read Ordinance #3671 and moved to approve on first reading.  Councilman Peckinpaugh seconded.  Motion carried 7-0

 

 

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

·        No reports.

 

MAYOR REPORTS:

·        Mayor York thanked the city police officers for their quick response to the bank robbery at Star Bank.

CITIZENS REQUESTS: 

·        Cathy Hamilton, New Castle reported a new resident on Cedar Drive and requested an update on the burned home in that area.  Mrs. Hamilton was informed that home is on the city Demo List.  Mrs. Hamilton reported a mattress on a porch in the North 14th Street area, this was forwarded to the Building Inspector.

·        Cathy Hamilton representing Hope Initiative pass out a flyer regarding the public forums held by Hope Initiative and gave a brief presentation.

·        Norma Dishman, New Castle thanked the Traffic Committee for their review of parking on Mourer Street.

 

DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS:

·        No reports were presented to council.
