Water Line Survey
Dear Water Customer:
In 2021, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) revised the Lead & Copper Rule, and is now requiring utilities to identify the service line material for all customer's waterlines. Utilities have until October 16, 2024, to complete this project.
To help achieve this task, we are asking for your help. If you know what the water line coming into your home is made of, please check the box below and drop it off to the Utility Office at your
convenience. We have a drop box next to the Drive-Thru window. It can be as simple as checking the
material where the water line enters your residence or business. Any unidentified lines will be documented with the state and considered unknown/ lead lines needing replaced. We want to work to ensure that lead does not exist in our system or your home. Being able to ensure your service line is not lead helps protect those in your home. Please contact Jill at (765) 521-6842 with questions or if you need assistance completing this task. We thank you for your assistance in making this project a success. Sincerely,
Greg Phipps - Water Superintendent
