Keeping Residents Informed: City Launches New Communication Efforts
New Castle residents can now stay informed about important news by signing up for email and text message updates. New Castle’s City Council and Mayor’s office want to keep the city’s residents updated on what’s happening including trash pickup changes, water main breaks, and even event updates.
“Our goal with this new email and text messaging system is to make sure that residents have a way to learn about important information,” noted City Council President Rex Peckinpaugh.
Mayor Greg York continued: “We want to be able to reach our residents quickly when things happen like road closures. We also want everyone to know about the fun events that are happening in our city so they can enjoy these activities.”
To sign up for these updates, New Castle residents are encouraged to visit CityOfNewCastle.net/signup. The City plans to send no more than two emails and two text messages every month.
