City Council Meeting Minutes - 2/4/2013

AMENDED 2/19/2013 - MARK KOGER PRESENT

                               

                                                 COMMON COUNCIL 

 

February 4, 2013 at 7:00 p.m.            

The Pledge of Allegiance was given by everyone in attendance.             

Prayer was given by Dale Cole

CITIZENS REQUESTS: 

·        Hope Initiative presentation regarding steps in acquiring the Stellar Grant was presented by Councilman Kidd, Beverly Hankenhoff, Cathy Hamilton and Jerry Cash.  Councilman Reid moved to authorize Mayor York to pursue the Stella Grant.  Council-lady Bertram seconded.  Motion carried 7-0

·        Danny Marcum informed Council on June 1st a Ride for Westminister was scheduled at Lowe Park, noting there would be food and entertainment and everyone was welcome.

 

ORDER OF BUSINESS:

 

·        Council-lady Bertram moved to approve the minutes of the last meeting.  Councilman Peckinpaugh seconded.  Motion carried 7-0

 

PROCLAMATIONS:

 

·        No proclamations were presented.

 

RESOLUTIONS:

ORDINANCES:

 

No Ordinances were presented

 

 

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

 

·        Councilman Peckinpaugh informed administration of a street cut in the 3000 block of South 19th Street needed filling, that it had sank.

 

 ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS:

·        Clerk Treasurer York informed the Council that the 2013 DLGF 1782 Notice had been received and the following cuts were made;

o       $45,298.00            Transportation

o       $32,734.00            MVH

o       $  6,869.00            Aviation

·        Mayor York requested an update regarding the Golf-Cart Committee and timing of placement of the subject back on Council Agenda.  Councilman Reid requested it be placed on the first meeting in March, noting a Committee meeting be held after the next Council Meeting.  Attorney Copenhaver stated he would take the appropriate steps to publicize.
