City Council Meeting Minutes - 9/4/2012

COMMON COUNCIL 

 

September 4, 2012 at 7:00 p.m.            

 

The Pledge of Allegiance was given by everyone in attendance.           

 

Prayer was given by Council-lady York.

 

ROLL CALL:

SPECIAL BUSINESS:

 

·        Councilman Peckinpaugh moved to suspend and accept the minutes of the last meeting.  Councilman Reid seconded.  Motion carried 6-0

 

PROCLAMATIONS:

 

·        No Proclamations were read.

 

RESOLUTIONS:

 

No Resolutions were read. 

 

ORDINANCES:

 

·        Ordinance #3646 - 2013 Elected Officials Salary Ordinance

Attorney Copenhaver made public announcement for citizens to appear for the Public Hearing of Ordinance #3646, no citizens came forward.  Councilman Koger moved to approve on second reading.  Councilman Ingerman seconded.  Motion carried 6-0

 

·        Ordinance #3647 - 2013 City Budget

Attorney Copenhaver made public announcement for citizens to appear for the Public Hearing of Ordinance #3647, no citizens came forward.  Councilman Koger moved to approve on second reading.  Councilman Peckinpaugh seconded.  Motion carried 6-0

 

·        Ordinance #3648 - Appropriation of Riverboat Funds

Council President Koger read ordinance 3648.  After discussion Council requested to amend the ordinance to include reimbursement if funds are available.  President Koger moved to approve Ordinance #3648 on 1st reading with amendment.  Council-lady York seconded.  Motion carried 6-0

 

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

 

·        Councilman Peckinpaugh opened the discussion of leaf collection.  Mayor York informed council per ordinance it is the city's responsibility to collect and he was looking for suggestions from Council and citizens for the best way to accomplish this.  Mayor York stated he expected and appreciated this being a topic of discussion leading up to the season.

MAYOR REPORTS:

·        Mayor York presented no other subject beyond leaf collection at this meeting.

CITIZENS REQUESTS:

·        No citizens appeared before council.

 

DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS:

 

·        No reports were presented to council.

Council President Koger moved for adjournment.  Council-lady York seconded.    Meeting adjourned.
