Board of Works Meeting Minutes - 6/4/2012

BOARD OF WORKS

 

June 4, 2012 at 10:00 a.m.

 

The meeting was called to order by Mayor Greg York.

 

 

ORDER OF BUSINESS:

 

·         Commissioner Ayers moved to suspend the rules for the reading of the minutes and accept last week's BOW minutes.  Director Tichenor seconded.  Motion carried 3-0

·         Mayor York requested a motion to accept the Payroll, Water, Wastewater and General fund claims for the week of May 29th to June 4, 2012.   Director Tichenor moved to accept.  Commissioner Ayers seconded.  Motion carried 3-0 

·         Mayor York requested a motion to approve INDOT Sign Grant claim in the amount of $28,886.10 which is the city match portion to the grant.  Director Tichenor moved to approve the claim.  Commissioner Ayers seconded.  Motion carried 3-0

·         Mayor York requested a motion to approve the sale of the NSP Grant Mills Court property.  Director Thornhill informed the board an offer of $22,000.00, pending paperwork clarification.  Director Tichenor moved to approve the sale with approved paperwork.  Commissioner Ayers seconded.  Motion carried 3-0

·         Mayor York requested a motion to approve payment of application 13 on the Maxwell Commons Project of $11,205.00.  Commissioner Ayers seconded.  Motion carried 3-0

·         Mayor York requested a motion to extend the contract with ERA Integrity Real Estate on the Condo's at Maxwell Commons to 12/31/12.  Director Tichenor moved to approve the contract extension.  Commissioner Ayers seconded.  Motion carried 3-0

 

DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS:

 

·         Director Tichenor presented claims for United Engineering in the amount of $10,200.00 for the designs and survey of the city's CSO Long Term Control Plan.  Mayor York moved to approve the claims.  Commissioner Ayers seconded.  Motion carried 3-0

·         Clerk Treasurer York informed the board that the State Board of Accounts audit was complete and the city did well.  Informing the board Auditor Weaver found the new administration to be proactive.

 

CITIZENS APPEARING:

 

·         No citizens appeared before the board

·         Director Tichenor moved for adjournment.  Commissioner Ayers seconded.
