NEW CASTLE - HENRY COUNTY EMS

| A full advanced life support (ALS) service |
| On call 24 hours per day, 365 days per year |
| No out-of-pocket charge for citizens of Henry County or employees working in the county |
| The department is comprised of 10 full-time paramedics. Each shift includes 3 paramedics and one firefighter EMT, staffing 2 fully ALS equipped ambulances. On-duty ambulances are located in two locations, increasing the speed at which EMS personnel can be on the scene of an accident or medical emergency. One is located at Fire Station No.1 on North Main Street and the other at the EMS headquarters on "I" Avenue. |
| In March of 2007 two "state of the art" ambulances (like the one above) were purchased with monies recovered from our insurance billing program that was implemented in 2004. No tax money was used for the purchase of these ambulances. |
